We used a classic hoop balustrade design at Picadilly house more commonly seen in heritage ironwork. The uprights were traditionally tenoned and hot riveted to the bottom strap, but the convex top strap was plug welded and buffed smooth to create a clean transition. The upright junctions to the hoop shapes were welded and finished using a collared process that heats up the steel and wraps around the bar to hide the welded joint.
